Winter 2015/2016 Anime Season Preview

New season is just around the corner, and here is another of our seasonal post of what I think is good to watch for this Winter season. Same as the previous season’s post, at the end of every opinion there will be rating to let you guys know my interest in each anime. This season looks a lot more promising that the previous season. The genre looks a lot more balanced, and there is actually less ecchi this time, which is good. There is a bunch of comedy, slice of life, and action shows to look forward as well. So without further ado, lets get down to it.

Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo

Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! – Looks like a fun anime to watch, if you are into fantasy and adventure. Base on the promo video, it looks to me like it’s going to be a mix of comedy, magic and a little bit of romance probably. While the girl are not really that appealing, the plot doesn’t really interest me that much either. Like one of those cliche anime with recycled formula. The anime sorta reminds me of SAO a bit, and that blue haired girl reminds me of Shinon at times. Just seeing the promo video, you’ll know that the anime doesn’t have much of a high budget to animate it. Animation looks good at times, but sometimes the quality just drops significantly. If you’re gonna watch this, watch it for the adventure I guess. I’m skipping this one. 6/10

Ao no Kanata no Four Rhythm

Ao no Kanata no Four Rhythm – If you’re into harems, this is definitely the anime for you. The animation looks great, and the cast looks promising too. Animation is done by Gonzo, and I think they have done a decent job and animating most of the anime that I’ve watched. The time is set in modern times, where humans can fly. The anime plot revolves around flying as well. The character design looks good as well. I’m not sure if I’m going to watch this, but if there is a shortage of anime to watch, i’ll definitely try this. 7/10

Akagami no Shirayuki-hime 2nd Season –  I really enjoyed the first season of Akagami, and I’m definitely watching this one. It’s mostly about a normal girl who tries to find her place in a royal family. It’s somehow like Snow White in the basic level, but totally different entirely. I like how the anime is pretty realistic in most ways, and how the main character handles her problems. I also liked how most of the side characters are pretty friendly, and supports her in anyway possible. The romance is pretty nice, a the drama isn’t dragged out, just the way I like it. The setting is pretty historic, around the medieval era, and the animation is pretty consistent and pretty looking, as expect from Bones. Give this a try if you’re into shoujo and some love stories, you’ll love it. 9/10

Saijaku Muhai no Bahamut – Another harem anime, but that’s just it for this season. There is only 2 of them, and this one has some ecchi in it. I heard this is more heavily focused on harems, so if you’re into those sort of anime, you’ll definitely wanna watch this one. Character design looks good, the animation looks pretty nice too. Hopefully the CGI won’t be overboard. There seems to be mecha in this one too. I think there will be a fair amount of action, but the main focus is of course the guy and those 5 girls. Expect a lot of fanservice, an a lot of ‘plot’.  Not sure if I’m watching this one, but if I want some harem, I think this would be the one I’ll try first. 7/10

Schwarzesmarken – If you’re into Muv Luv, you should give this anime a try. This anime is heavily on the mecha and drama. Don’t forget some fanservice as well, with all those mecha suits. Expect a bunch of people dying and what not. It’s also base on the light novel, as well as the visual novel. Animation looks good, and the song isn’t bad either. If you’re short of mecha anime, maybe you should give this anime a try as well. I’m passing this one, i’m not really much of a mecha fan. 7/10

Hai to Gensou no Grimgar

Hai to Gensou no Grimgar – Another fantasy anime. I’m actually interested in this one, because of the animation style. Most of the background seems like painting/water colored style, and it will be interesting to see how it will actually work. A-1 Pictures are doing this, so the animation is going to be fine. Looks like another SAO, but hopefully it’s unique and different from the others. I heard the light novel was good, so I’ll give this anime a try. 8/10

Nijiiro Days – I’m really looking forward for this show. Firstly it’s not yaoi. I’m not really sure why they have to just show the guys, but they should also include the girls. It’s basically a slice of life anime with shoujo and comedy mixed in. Base on the promo video, it looks really promising and fun to watch. I have high hopes for this one. The show is kinda lengthy too, 26 episodes long, or so i’ve heard. Character looks likeable and that girl from the promo looks cute. I’m loving it already. Main character loves this girl, and the other dudes tries to help him. I could visualize that already. Maybe the other dudes get their own girlfriend as well. Anyway, hoping it’s gonna be a good shoujo. 9/10

Dimension W

Dimension W – This anime looks pretty impressive too. I’m picking this up because of the cyberpunk theme, as well as how badass the main character looks in the promo video. Not to mention the director is the one who directed Usagi Drop, one of my favorite anime. I’ll give this a try, looks really action packed, but as for the character design, I didn’t like it so much. The setting and plot seems interesting at least. 8/10

luck n logic

Luck & Logic – This anime has a lot of good seiyuu in it. Or should I say popular seiyuu, like Risa Taneda who voice Rize from Gochiusa, or Nao Touyama and many others. I kinda recognized most of the voices, so I did some checking, and oh my god, so many of my favorite seiyuu is in it. The anime itself looks alright, with a mix of various popular things in it. One of the girl actually looks like Black Rock Shooter, for example. It’s action and fantasy, so if you’re into those kinds of show, I guess it’s worth a try. I’m not sure if I’m watching this one, but I just might. It’s also not based on any light novel or manga, original anime. 7/10

Bubuki Buranki

Bubuki Buranki – Another action and fantasy genre anime. The animation looks really good, and the characters are all CGI, but very nicely done. I know there is going to be haters when it comes to CGI, but this one does look good compared to the rest. Besides the characters, the others doesn’t look CGI, so that’s at least good. Looks heavy on the action side. Watching the promo video, it kinda reminds me of God Eater a bit. Not expecting much of it, but I think it will be at least decent at best. The animation does look interesting at least, but besides that, I’m not sure. It’s an original anime too. 6/10

Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu

Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu – I have high hopes for this anime. The animation looks very well done by Studio Deen, and we don’t see Josei anime that much this days. It’s created for women and adults. Looks very dramatic at times, and very serious. Just what I need. The jazzy 70’s soundtrack sounds awesome, plus voice actors like Ishida Akira and Megumi Hayashibara is in it too. The historical setting should be interesting as well. I kinda notice that there is a headphone in the show, but most of it looks very classy. Looking forward to this one. 8/10 | Our First Impressions

Gate: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri 2nd Season – The first season was pretty good. It wasn’t amazing, but good at least. It’s about our current world having a mysterious connection to some other world. While we have some technology and military power, the other world has dragons, uses swords and what not, still in their medieval era. It’s has a good setting for a fantasy anime. The main character is kinda like a normal person, but he is pretty overpowered when it comes to military combat. He is also an otaku, lol! Give it a watch if you’re into fantasy and what not. Definitely worth a try. 7/10

Reikenzan Hoshikuzu-tachi no Utage

Reikenzan: Hoshikuzu-tachi no Utage – Not quite sure how good this is going to be. The promo video doesn’t tell much either, just that the above key visual kinda shows us how the anime will look like. Studio Deen is animating this, and I heard the studio mentioned that this anime is going to be full of gags, not bad I guess. Besides comedy, it’s also themed on magic and fantasy. The opening song is quite good though, Soraru and Mafumafu is singing the opening. The summary about the anime seems pretty normal as well. Besides that not sure what else there is to talk about. Not gonna rate this one, I guess. Too little to evaluate.

Sekkou Boys

Sekkou Boys – You thought the statue was going to be just a metaphor? Well you’re wrong at that. This anime is actually about those statues lol! Oh Japan, I expect no less. It’s a comedy show, so I guess if you want some laugh, you could try this one. I’m skipping this one. If it ever goes viral, and that this anime is a damn good show, I’d definitely give it a try. 5/10

Oshiete! Galko-chan

Oshiete! Galko-chan – Looks like a good slice of life comedy for girls. Watching this sorta reminds me of Super Gals for some reason, also it reminds me of something dirty as well..if you know what I mean. Looks decent enough for a slice of life show. Not so sure if I wanna watch this, but I might actually try a few episodes. Basically the story is going to be in school, and I heard the manga is kinda short. So I’m guessing this might be another anime shorts around 8 or 10 minutes or so. I think this show is good for girls, but I’m not so sure if it’s any good for guys. 6/10

Divine Gate

Divine Gate – Another anime about Gate, lol! Well this one is a different story, where those who enters the gate could change the world. I’m not so sure how that is going to work, but we’ll have to see that for ourselves. The animation looks good, but they only revealed like tidbits of it. Character design looks nice, at least for guys. The girls looks less interesting and less badass. I’m skipping this one, doesn’t look that good in my opinion. Let me know if it ever gets good though. 6/10

Dagashi Kashi

Dagashi Kashi – The character design looks really nice except for the eyes, but I’m interested to give this anime a try, particular because it’s slice of life with a mix of comedy. I know I’m not the only one interested to try this out. Looks fun to watch. While the guy always looks kinda bland, his father at least is interesting, as well as the purple haired girl. The plot revolves around the candy shop, where the main character was suppose to inherit it from his dad, but he is interested in being a manga author instead. That’s when the girl comes in, she has to convince him to take over his family business, because she wants his dad to run her company. The plot seems ok, I’m just interested to watch because it’s slice of life. If you’re interested in some slife of life comedy, I guess it’s worth a try. 8/10 | Our First Impressions

Phantasy Star Online 2 The Animation – If you liked the game, I guess it’s worth a try. The animation looks fine, and it looks like it’s sci-fi with a mix of school. I guess the main character is just a normal student, and all the action happens when he plays PSO with his friends. Personally I think is just going to be a decent show, lets just hope it doesn’t suck at least. If you’re a big PSO fan, definitely a must watch. I played the game, and I liked it, but I’m just not interested when a game turns into an anime. So I’m gonna pass on this one. 6/10

Ansatsu Kyoushitsu (TV) 2nd Season

Ansatsu Kyoushitsu 2nd Season – I haven’t watched this one, but I heard lots of good things from my fellow otaku. A show about students trying to kill their octopus teacher. Sounds good to me, I should marathon this show, and watch the 2nd season soon. 8/10

Ojisan to Marshmallow

Ojisan to Marshmallow – Another anime shorts. It’s just 5 minutes long or so. The series is about a man named Kusaka who has a fascination for marshmallows. Kusaka gets involved in a relationship with an office lady named Wakabayashi, and the story focuses on their relationship in the workplace. Sounds ok for a 5 minute anime short. Will try and watch this. 6/10

Boku Dake ga Inai Machi – I think this anime is very interesting, probably one of my most anticipated anime this season, I must say. I heard good things about the manga, like lots of good things. That is what makes me so hyped about it right now. Just watching the PV gives me a good vibe that this anime could turn into something amazing. Just watch the PV and tell me if it has potential or not. Animation wise, it looks really good because of course, A-1 Pictures, they are really good at that no doubt. Here is the synopsis of the series. “Struggling manga author Satoru Fujinuma is beset by his fear to express himself. However, he has a supernatural ability of being forced to prevent deaths and catastrophes by being sent back in time before the incident occurred, repeating time until the accident is prevented. One day, he gets involved in an accident that has him framed as a murderer. Desperate to save the victim, he sends himself back in time only to find himself as a grade-schooler one month before fellow classmate Kayo Hinazuki went missing. Satoru now embarks on a new quest: to save Kayo and solve the mystery behind her disappearance.” A must watch, or at least you should try a few episodes if you’re not that interested. 9/10 | Our First Impressions

Shoujo-tachi wa Kouya wo Mezasu – This anime plot sounds exactly the same like Saekano. It’s about a group of students wanting to develop the best Galge game. You know the gist. While I’m not so sure if it’s going to be as good as Saekano, I’d definitely give this a try. The main girl looks interesting, as well as the cute short girl. Not gonna expect much, just hoping that it delivers. 7/10

Kidou Kyoushuushitsu Dai Hakkei

Active Raid: Kidou Kyoushuushitsu Dai Hakkei – This one looks interesting. Police and Mecha. This is definitely worth a try if you’re a mecha fan. Looks like there is a bunch of good cast in this anime too. Animation looks good, as for the mecha CGI, I’ll leave you to decide at that one. I’ll definitely give this a try if there is a bunch of good first impression. Since I’m planning to watch a bunch of anime this season, it might just leave this for later. 7/10

Norn9: Norn+Nonet – This one looks good as well. I think it’s base on a visual novel? Yes I think so, Otome game. The soundtrack sounds awesome, and the PV was really good too. I have a bunch of Shoujo already this season, but I just might add this one onto the watching list as well. The show is targeted for girls though, so guys can try to watch it, but some might not enjoy it I guess. The setting is sorta cool. They live in the sky on a ship and what not. If you’re a girl and want some romance, I guess give this a shot. 7/10

HaruChika Haruta to Chika wa Seishun Suru

HaruChika: Haruta to Chika wa Seishun Suru – While the poster looks just like any other anime, the summary of the show at least seems interesting. It’s a mix of slice of life, school, mystery and romance. I’m more interested in the mystery part of the show, but if it doesn’t have much, I’m pretty sure I could enjoy what they have to offer when it comes to slice of life. It’s a normal life for most of the high schooler, when a certain accident happens. They work together to solve the mystery. The animation looks good as expect from P.A Works, so you don’t have to worry about that. Just hoping that the mystery is going to be an interesting one. Not much anime related to mystery, so I’m picking this up. 7/10 | Our First Impressions

Prince of Stride Alternative

Prince of Stride: Alternative – This is like the only anime that is about sports. So if you’re into sports anime, definitely give this a go. This anime is already out when I’m writing this. Base on first impression it’s actually good so far. I heard there was a race, where they ran around the school and what not, and people are saying that part was pretty good. While I like sports anime, I usually only pick those that is related to basketball or baseball, so I’m skipping this one. The preview doesn’t look bad, and the animation is of course going to be awesome, since it’s done by Madhouse. 7/10

Musaigen no Phantom World

Musaigen no Phantom World – A KyoAni anime. So i’m definitely going to give this a try. No doubt the animation is going be good, but what worries me is the plot, whether it’s good or not, will certainly be my main concern regarding this anime. It looks action-packed at least with all this supernatural thing happening in the anime, and expect a lot of fanservice too. The character design and the character itself looks good. I have a feeling that the guy is going to be pretty pathetic though, but KyoAni will find a way to entertain us, lol! As always, I’m sure many is going to watch this, since it’s KyoAni. 7/10 | Our First Impressions

Ajin – I’m really not sure about this one because of the CGI. I heard good things about the manga, but looking at the story it seems really cool. But the CGI kinda turns me off a bit. I’ll give a try and if I survive, i’ll definitely continue to watch it. Pretty sure I’m not the only one having problem with the CGI in this anime, base on the PV. Kinda wish everything was 2d too, but of course that’s not going to happen 😦 6/10

Love Live! Sunshine!! Aquors’s 7 Minute Long Anime Video Debut Single

HYPE! Finally more details on Love Live Sunshine. This is a 7 minute long video that came with the song album, with a mix of anime footages and the full debut song of Kimi no Kokoro wa Kagayaiteru kai? / Is Your Heart Shining? I’ve to say it’s impressive. The CGI looks good than the previous Love Live, and everything looks very promising. Animation looks a lot better too, and of course the girls.

The question is who is the best girl? So far I’m liking Sakurauchi Riko. That new long video kinda confirms it for me. There is also others that looks interesting, I’m looking at that Hanayo clone, Watanabe You, Honoka clone Chika as well as my all time favourite waifu Eli Ayase clone, Ohara Mari. So many good looking ones. Just a matter of time where we have more waifu wars soon. Looking forward for more Love Live Sunshine details. We’ll update you guys if there is more of it soon.

Fall 2015 Anime Season Preview

With Summer anime coming to a close, we look into the Fall season. Most of it is just my thoughts on each of the anime that is about to air this fall. So what do I think about this season? Well it doesn’t look that interesting like Summer, but there are definitely a couple of anime that I think is worth watching. We won’t know if it’s good or not yet, but here is my opinion on most of it, base on their promotional videos. Rating are given based on my level of interest. Also check out the anime chart below.

Diabolik Lovers More, Blood – The sequel is out, and I don’t think the prequel was even that good to begin with. This one is definitely a skip for me, as it’s base on Otome Game. I think girls will love it, but I’m not that curious to find out why they would. Looks very yaoi, despite having a girls in the cover. 3/10 | Preview

Lance N’ Masques – This one looks like a cute show with fantasy elements in it. With my current tight schedule and kinda busy months ahead, I think i’ll skips this one.  Not really that interest as it’s about a boy who looks after a girl and stuff. The part where the boy has to take care of the loli is kinda what makes me not interested in it. The character design doesn’t interest me either. If you watch the PV, you’ll get the sense of how this anime could turn out terrible.  2/10 | Preview

Update: Base on everyone’s opinion, it is best to now watch this anime at all. Avoid it at all cost, it’s that bad.

Young Black Jack – This one looks good. I’ve watched the grown up version of Black Jack and definitely liked it. One of the few anime that is related to surgery and stuff which is hard to come by. If you wanna try something new, I guess it’d be nice to give this a try. Animation looks good as well compared to the sequel. 7/10 | Preview

Update: The anime is like any other Black Jack tv I know. So if you’re a fan of the series, definitely watch it. If you are new and interested to try, I’d say go for it. It should be good.

Hacka Doll the Animation – A smartphone app that gets an anime, interesting indeed. This anime is an anime short for around 8 minutes or so per episode. Don’t expect much, probably a show where cute girls do cute stuff kinda thing. I don’t mind watching this one just for the fun of it, but yeah that’s just it. If you like watching cute girls, doing cute stuff, I guess this anime short is definitely a must watch. 6/10 | Preview

Update: Watched the first episode, and it turns out pretty good for Hacka Dool. Character is pretty cute, and the show is funny, and well animated. Character is very likeable, while one could be annoying for some. I like that it’s base on them helping others to solve problems, and the part where they stick with the smartphone app theme is nice. A show not for everyone, but definitely for those who likes moe.

Kagewani – Another anime short. This one looks interesting. It’s about a scientist finding out why monsters are attacking human beings and stuff. Suspense, mystery and supernatural. Looks scary, but sadly they haven’t released an anime PV or some sort yet. If you are into this horror kinda anime, this short might be of interest to you. 7/10

Heavy Object

Heavy Object – This is for the mecha fans. I watched the PV, and I’m very impressed with the animation. Character looks good, and the girl isn’t bad looking either. I heard the light novel is pretty good too, so I’m looking forward to this one. I have a feeling that some part of the anime will be rushed though, considering it’s a light novel adaptation and done by J.C.Staff. Looks like a show that is going to be 24 episodes long, and probably split core, because after 12 episode or so, the time slot will be taken by Gate anime for their season 2. I’ll definitely give this a watch, but being 24 episodes long, I don’t think i’ll blog about this one. 7/10 | Preview

Update: Watched the first episode. I think the introduction at the start was good, but after that it gets pretty boring to be honest. Animation was good and the art is nice. So far I can’t say it has lived to the hyped yet. It was kinda ok, but not really that impressive. It looks to me like it could really be action-packed in the future though, so I’m looking forward to that. This show could either turn really good or bad in the end. Hard to say for now. I’d hold-off for a bit, and wait if it gets better in a couple more episodes if you haven’t watch it yet.

Noragami Aragato

Norogami Aragoto – Finally a season two for this anime. I watched the first season and it was pretty good for me. I didn’t expect them to have a 2nd season this fast though, so i’m a little surprised when I first found out about the season 2 announcement. I’m hyped for this one. Noragami is a great blend of comedy and supernatural. Also a character-driven show.  If you want some action for this season, I’d definitely recommend you to watch this. If you haven’t watch season 1, definitely do it now before it starts. 9/10 | Preview

Gakusen Toshi Asterisk

Gakusen Toshi Asterisk – After watching the PV, it felt like an anime that I’ve already watched before, that anime in particular is Absolute Duo. Looks like a show with a lot of ecchi in it. Just look at the amount of girl there is in this anime. Animation looks good as well because it’s by A-1 Pictures, but besides that it might be really bland if you are expecting something amazing. I could be wrong, but you can definitely give it a shot. This anime is split cour, with 12 episodes per season. 5/10 | Preview

Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry – Another school anime, with swords and what not. If you’re into this kinda of show with Harem and what not, I guess you’ll definitely have to watch it. I’m skipping this one. 5/10 | Preview

Owarimonogatari – Another Monogatari series anime. I’m looking forward to this one. Since I’ve pretty much watched all the past season, I’d definitely watch this one as well. The part where the synopsis tell us that Araragi’s life will turn upside-down is what interest me, and that Ougi Oshino girl is involved this time. She is one weird girl, and a very interesting one as well.  8/10 | Preview

Update: As expected from the series, the first episode turns out pretty good. I like that it’s 1 hour long and it just felt like the monogatari we know and love.

Utawarerumono: Itsuwari no Kamen – I really have no idea what this anime is mostly about apart from it being adapted from a game. I heard the first season wasn’t that bad, so I guess it’s worth watching. The first season is already on my watch list, but with the time constraints I currently have, I won’t be able to watch this anime anytime soon.  Preview

Kowabon – This short anime looks cool, as the animation involves rotoscoping. For an art student such as myself, I’d definitely give this show a try just for the rotoscoping part. This anime will use a live-action footage and trace it frame-by-frame to recreate it as animation. I do not like the PV of this one, it was suppose to be a horror show, but that music kinda killed it for me. This show definitely isn’t for everyone, but considering it’s just a short anime, I’d give it a go.  5/10 | Preview

Comet Lucifer

Comet Lucifer – I always find it hard to not watch something that looks colorful with nice visuals. The setting looks good as well. I just saw the first episode preview, and it looks promising. As always it has to involve a boy meeting a mysterious girl and stuff, very much like any other anime sure, but what interest me is mostly the setting, as well as the genre being adventure and fantasy. Since the animation is done by 8bit, I’m not expecting much, but if they are given the right amount of budget, this could turn out pretty good. The director and staff doesn’t look that promising either. I’ll give this anime a shot, following the 3 episode rule. 7/10 | Preview

Concrete Revolutio Choujin Gensou

Concrete Revolutio: Choujin Gensou – Another vibrant colour type of show. While I’m not that much interested in this one, it looks like it could be one insane show. The animation looks pretty nice, and the show looks action packed, so if you’re into action, maybe it’s worth the watch. This show involve superpowers as well, so that part could be cool. I’m skipping this one, but might give it a try if there is a lot of positive first impression. 6/10 | Preview

One Punch Man

One Punch Man – I was pretty excited when they announce that this is getting an anime. I haven’t watched the first pre-aired episode yet, but I know this is going to be good anyway. One thing is for sure is that the animation will look nice because it’s done by Madhouse, and I heard the manga was pretty good as well. So if that isn’t an enough indication to watch it, I don’t know what will. I’ve heard some saying it was pretty boring for the first pre-aired episode, but most are pretty hyped and positive about it thus far. 8/10 | Preview

Update: We watched the first episode and the anime is just amazing! Check out why it’s soo amazing in our first impression post.

High School Star Musical – This one is a straight no for me. Looks really yaoi and definitely not a show I want to watch. If it actually about girls that might be a different story, but this is about guys and only guys. So yeah, a definite no for me. Preview

jk meshi

JK-Meshi! – There isn’t much info about this one, but it’s related to cooking, so I’ll give it a try. Animation wise, it doesn’t look that good, but the food part might be interesting. 2/10 | Preview

Edit: This anime short turns out to be pretty bad. It’s just 3 minutes long. The animation is just like one of those animation from a student who just learned how to animate. While the anime is informative at times, I don’t see why someone should watch this even if it’s just 3 minutes long. Skip it guys.

Osomatsu-san – I’m looking forward for this comedy anime. The animation looks really nice, but the part where the staff is mostly from Nichijou, Gintama, and Danshi Koukosei no Nichijou, is what makes me interested in watching this show. Hopefully it’ll be one great comedy anime. 8/10 | Preview

Yuru Yuri San☆Hai! – You guys know that I like slice of life anime a lot, so this anime is definitely a must watch for me. As far as previous show goes it’s pretty hilarious, so that’s one of the reason I’m looking forward to it. Cute girls, doing cute stuff, how could anything go wrong. 7/10 | Preview

Hidan no Aria AA – I’ve never watched Hidan no Aria before, so I’m definitely skipping this one. If you like cute girls fighting against each other, this is definitely the show for you.  Preview

Dance with Devils – Looks like another yaoi type of show where the girls will enjoy watching this one. Just like High School Star Musical as well as that Diabolik Lovers More, Blood otome anime. The PV song is pretty interesting though, but having too much boys in it kinda might ruin the show for me. There is only like 1 main girl in the series, so I’m not expecting much. Just look like another Diabolik Lover to be honest. Animation looks really good though. 4/10 | Preview

Ore ga Ojou-sama Gakkou ni “Shomin Sample” Toshite Gets♥Sareta Ken – Another anime with a freaking long name. If i’m in need of some ecchi and cuteness, this anime will definitely be the first I’m going to watch this season. Looks interesting as there is a one boy who is considered gay in this anime. Obviously he is not gay, but that’s where it gets interesting, yes? lol! I like the character design, but I’m really not sure if I’m picking this one up. Maybe I might just for some fanservice shit. 5/10 | Preview

Sakurako-san no Ashimoto ni wa Shitai ga Umatteiru – I have this anime in my to watch list for the longest time. It looks really interesting. Not just the poster, but the PV looks promising as well. Animation looks really beautiful and kinda reminds me of Hyouka in some way. I wonder what the bone is going to be about, so that’s part of the mystery we are going to find out when we watch it. The other reason why I’m watching is definitely because of that hot girl, lol! 8/10 | Preview

Subete ga F ni Naru: The Perfect Insider – Another mystery anime. I’m the the mood for some more mystery this season, so I’m definitely picking this up. Base on the synopsis I think this anime will be an interesting one which involve mysteries regarding a serial killer and what not. Animation wise, it looks good, the character design doesn’t look bad either. The director’s primary works are Elfen Lied, Sound of the Sky and Kimi to Boku. Looks interesting enough to give it a try, if you’re looking for some mystery anime. I heard there is a live-action TV about this show as well, and it was pretty good. 7/10 | Preview

Taimadou Gakuen 35 Shiken Shoutai – Another fanservice anime, but with a lot of action and jiggling boobs. Looks action packed, with a lot of girls in it. I watch the preview and I’m not really that interest to watch this. Sure the animation looks nice and all but, since this anime is probably going to have a lot of fanservice in it, I doubt it’s going to be that interesting. Unless you’re looking for fanservice anime, then this show might be worth a go. 5/10 | Preview

Valkyrie Drive: Mermaid – “Beautiful girl sexy battle action” That kinda pretty much sum it all up about the show. Looks like another show that is specifically targeted for those who wants to watch anime just for the ‘plot’. It’s not just about ‘plot’ but it also has lesbians, as well as some cool action. So if you’re into those kind of show, then I guess it’s worth a shot. 4/10 | Preview

Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka?? – Moeness overload is all I can think of when I remember Goshiusa. So if you are into moe, then I guess this show is definitely for you. I watched the first season and I kinda liked it. Watched a bunch of moe shows lately, like Wakaba Girl, Kiniro Mosaic and a few others, and I’m definitely watching this one. A slice of life anime with a lot of moe, a definitely must watch for me. 7/10 | Preview

Garo: Guren no Tsuki – Looks very action packed. Since I didn’t watch the previous one, I’m definitely skipping this one too. Comparing this one with the previous anime, the animation looks a lot better and by a lot, I mean by a huge margin. Give it a try, I don’t see no harm in watching this one if you’re looking for more action type anime this season. 6/10 | Preview

Shingeki! Kyojin Chuugakkou – I’m really not sure why this needs to exist. First things first, this is an adaptation from the manga. Do you know how funny the manga is? Totally not funny at all. So I don’t see the point on watching this. Just wait next year, and maybe then we’ll get the 2nd season of Shingeki no Kyojin. 4/10 | Preview

Onsen Yousei Hakone-chan – Maybe this anime will give us a bit of a good laugh? I’m not expecting much, but I doubt we’ll get anything out of this show. A fairy who took a long slumber, and woke up in modern-day japan. Taking a form of a cute young girl and trying to regain her powers. Well, not sure how this one will go. 3/10

Komori-san wa Kotowarenai! – This one looks cute and it’s about slice of life. The character design kinda turns me off though. Just look at this here. I might give this a try since it’s slice of life. Can’t be that bad. 4/10

I’m definitely watching this anime: Heavy Object, Owarimonogatari, Comet Lucifer, One Punch Man, JK-Meshi!, Osomatsu-san, Yuru Yuri San☆Hai!, Sakurako-san no Ashimoto ni wa Shitai ga Umatteiru, Subete ga F ni Naru: The Perfect Insider, Norogami Aragoto and Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka??

Other show that I might watch: Young Black Jack, Kagewani, Concrete Revolutio: Choujin Gensou, Kowabon and Ore ga Ojou-sama Gakkou ni “Shomin Sample” Toshite Gets♥Sareta Ken

I’ve yet to decide which anime to blog though. You’ll have to wait a while for that one. With my tight schedule this month, I think it’s best to not blog as much as Summer. So it’s going to be less than 8 anime this month, 5 or 6 maybe. I’ll see what I can do. 🙂

Protagonist (voiced by Jun Fukuyama, voice samples)P5-Character-Details

The leader of the Phantom Thieves. A 16-year-old young man and second-year high school student who transfers to Shujin High School. He seems quiet and well-mannered at first glance, but gives a completely different impression once he has donned his “phantom thief” guise. He finds residence at the Shiken Cafe run by his parents’ friend. The reason for him moving from the city to the capital Tokyo is currently unknown.

Ryuji Sakamoto (voiced by Mamoru Miyano, voice samples)P5-Character-Details2

Just like the protagonist, he is a 16-year-old, second-year student at Shujin High School. He stands out with his wild behavior and seems to be a “problem child” even within the school. More than often, his problematic behavior imposes on the hospitality of the school’s teachers and advisers. He previously did not behave the way he currently does, but the origin of his bad behavior is currently unknown.

An Takamaki (voiced by Nana Mizuki, voice samples)P5-Character-Details3

A 16-year-old, quarter-American girl who attends Shujin High School. Unable to fit in with those around her due to her noticeably different appearance, she isolates herself within the school. She is often seen hanging out with the protagonist and Ryuji Sakamoto. Strange rumors about her have seemingly been circulating the school, but whether or not they’re true is currently unknown.

Morgana (voiced by Ikue Otani, voice samples)P5-Character-Details4

The most mysterious member of the Phantom Thieves. Childlike in height, her appearance imitates that of a black cat, but her true identity is completely unknown. It looks like she’s wearing something on her head, but…? That is all the information we currently have. Though she does resemble the black cat often seen with the protagonist…

New details on Persona 5, including the reveal of its fifth party member, have leaked via Japanese magazines.

Our heroes shake up the big city as the “Heart’s Phantom Thieves.” They send notice in advance to persons to confess their crimes and reform, and set out to steal the “rotten hearts” from “rotten adults” for the sake of changing a rotten world.

  • Protagonist – Arsene
  • Ryuji Sakamoto – Captain Kidd
  • Morgana – Zorro
  • Ann Takamaki – Carmen

Fifth Party Member
The fifth member of the Phantom Thieves is a young man named Yuusuke Kitagawa, voiced by Tomokazu Sugita. His persona is Goemon. He is a scholarship student that attends the Kousei Public High School as part of the academy’s art course. He is a live-in disciple of his Japanese painter landlord Madarame.

Play Pokémon In The Real World with Pokémon Go

The day has finally come where we can catch Pokemon in the real world. Well not literally catch them for real but with the use of augmented reality, we can experience part of it using our smartphone. The idea is to go out, get some fresh air, and catch some Pokemon.

The Pokemon Company announced today via a livestream event that it is working with Nintendo, GAME FREAK, and software development company Niantic to create the Pokémon GO smartphone app. The app will be available in 2016 for Android phones and iPhones. The year 2016 also marks the 20th anniversary of the original Pokémon games.

There is also a watch-like peripheral (mostly worked on by Nintendo) for the game called Pokémon Go Plus that allows you to basic things like throw a Poké Ball. It pairs with your phone and has a rumble and flash feature when you come across or interact with a Pokemon in the real world. The idea is that you can enjoy the world around you, instead of focusing only on your phone. It is said that the app won’t be a standalone title, and that they could also connect it to the other Pokemon games.

My thoughts on this, it surely is interesting.  But one thing is for sure, it won’t turn out like the trailer we just saw. You can see how the app actually is on the last 10 seconds of the trailer. I’m sure you can see those Pokemon in the real world with augmented reality, but yeah you gotta see everything on your phone. So it’s not as pleasant or awesome as in the trailer. Nonetheless, i’m definitely excited about it. I’d probably get the peripheral too when it’s available.

Love Live! Sunshine!! Aquors’s 1st Anime PV Debut Single

Finally, something besides images for Love Live Sunshine. It’s great that we don’t only get to see some of animation and CGI, but we all get to hear like 2 songs from Aqours called “Step! ZERO to ONE” and “Aqours☆HEROES”. The debut single Blu-ray Disc or DVD will be on sale on October 7, with a special introductory message from each member of Aquors, as well as a randomly distributed profile card for one of the nine idols.

Below are the preview for the song “Step! ZERO to ONE” and “Aqours☆HEROES”

And here is the 15, 30 and 60 second version of the commercial.

I’m hype about the new Love Live now. Still not sure who the best girl will be, but I’m interested with the purple haired girl. Others look really good as well, but we will have to wait for the anime to come out to decide which is best. Both of the songs for Aquors are pretty good as well. It sounds pretty much like the original Love Live song, same formula I guess. If it ain’t broken, don’t fix it. They at least know that much, to please the fans. Looking forward to listen to the full version of the songs, as well as that special introductory message from each of the members of Aquors.
